Guitar sales were down for the last year. The decrease in sales lasted through the fourth quarter, and didn’t see much respite during the Holiday shopping season. In brief discussions I’ve had with a friend who sells guitars, he hasn’t sold an instrument in months. There are many reasons for that, including an awful location for retail, but he hasn’t even had a nibble on line through his website, either.
And here I thought I was the only one that couldn’t sell a guitar on e-bay or craigslist during the past 6 months.
